Also known as the Santa Fe Farolito Walk or the Santa Fe Luminaria Festival, this holiday event is a must for your Santa Fe Christmas 2017 getaway! Thousands of small, sand-filled paper lanterns known as farolitos will be lined along Canyon Road, one of the city’s most popular art and shopping districts. The historic neighborhood will be beautifully lit for a full evening of holiday activities. Visitors may promenade through the streets to admire the lanterns, join in on some caroling, cozy up next to the bonfire, or indulge in complimentary hot chocolate and traditional warm biscochitos.

Most Santa Fe stores close for Christmas Eve, but visitors of the Canyon Road Walk in Santa Fe will have one last chance for holiday shopping! Some stores will remain open for visitors to either find rare gifts or warm up after wandering through the crisp mountain air.
