The West Palace Arts District is in the heart of Santa Fe. They offer-up a visual treat for art-loving visitors by hosting their “First Friday Artwalk” from 5 PM – 7:30 PM. The Canyon Road art district is said to be “the art and soul of Santa Fe”. The Canyon Road district is a short walk from the historic Santa Fe plaza. The Canyon Road art district is home to more than 100 art galleries and specialty shops. They host their artwalk on the 4th Friday of each month. Santa Fe is said to be the 3rd largest art market in the United States! In total, Santa Fe has over 250 art galleries to explore. So whether you are a serious art collector or someone that simply loves strolling the gallery-lined streets of Santa Fe and looking at fun and interesting art, there is something for everyone. The gallery openings take place year-round but they are more frequent during the summer months. At that time of year, it is common to have multiple gallery openings to choose from on a single Friday evening. In addition, the New Mexico Museum of Art offers FREE admission for everyone on Fridays from 5 PM- 8 PM.
