Participate in the Audubon Christmas Bird Count of New Mexico, while a guest at Casa Escondida Bed & Breakfast. The Audubon Christmas Bird Count is a great annual bird count. This year it starts on Friday December 14th, 2012 and runs through Saturday January 5th 2013. While this is a worldwide event that stretches from the Arctic Circle to the tip of South America, this winter there are more than 30 counting locations in New Mexico! Groups of bird-watchers will be counting every bird they see or hear! Even beginning birders can join in on the fun. Each counting group is led by a birding expert.
