Audubon Christmas Bird Count, Birding in NM, Casa Escondida B&B

Participate in the Audubon Christmas Bird Count of New Mexico, while a guest at Casa Escondida Bed & Breakfast. Casa Escondida B&B is a Santa Fe area bed & breakfast that is located in historic Chimayo, NM (just 35 minutes north of Santa Fe, on the High Road). The Audubon Christmas Bird Count is a great annual bird count. This year it starts on Friday December 14th, 2012 and runs through Saturday January 5th 2013. While this is a worldwide event that stretches from the Arctic Circle to the tip of South America, this winter there are more than 30 counting locations in New Mexico! Groups of bird-watchers will be counting every bird they see or hear! Even beginning birders can join in on the fun. Each counting group is led by a birding expert. View the Christmas Bird Count schedule and find a New Mexico location, date and time that you would like to join! Bring your Audubon Western Birds Field Guide book. Casa Escondida Bed & Breakfast has wonderful guest rooms available throughout the annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count period. There are many wonderful birding trails throughout Northern New Mexico that can be enjoyed year round. Join us and enjoy the birds of New Mexico! It is possible that not only could you see the Road Runner (the official state bird of New Mexico) but you could see that sneaky Wile E. Coyote too!
