Your Guide to the Santa Fe Farmers Market

Drying chiles and more at the Santa Fe Farmers Market

One of the things our guests love most about staying at our rural Bed and Breakfast in New Mexico is its location. While we aren’t located in the heart of downtown Santa Fe or Taos, our guests see that as a positive. Instead, we’re well-located between both cities, allowing visitors to enjoy the best of all worlds – which includes visits to popular attractions like the Santa Fe Farmers Market – without having to deal with the loud, busy crowds you sometimes encounter at lodging properties in the cities.

There are so many great things to do in Santa Fe, but we have a special place in our hearts for the extraordinary Santa Fe Farmers Market. In fact, according to Sunset Magazine, the Santa Fe Farmers Market is one of the top ten markets of its kind in the country. It also happens to be one of the country’s longest-running and largest growers’ markets – which is, at least in part, why we recommend our guests visit there during their stay with us!

The Santa Fe Farmers Market is located in the popular Santa Fe Railyard district and serves as a great place to start your day’s adventure in Santa Fe or break for lunch in the afternoon. Either way, it’s a beloved destination for guests staying with us at our Bed and Breakfast in New Mexico. If you’re ready to explore the best of northern New Mexico with us this year, it’s time to experience one of the best places to stay in New Mexico. Book your room with us today!

Don’t Miss the Santa Fe Farmers Market

We’re so lucky to have a market like the Santa Fe Farmers Market at our disposal. The organization is dedicated to supporting local farmers in a way that few others around the country can say. In 2023, there are more than 150 farmers and producers representing 15 different counties in northern New Mexico at the market. Moreover, everything you find at the Santa Fe Farmers Market is local, with all vendors being actual growers, artists, or producers.

The Santa Fe Farmers Market is truly an authentic place to shop for local goods – but it’s also just fun to walk around, admire the various vendor booths, and spend an afternoon. It’s also a great place to shop for handcrafted goods to take home with you. Local artists sell everything from jewelry and one-of-a-kind pieces of art to bath and body products.

The main Santa Fe Farmers Market is held every Saturday throughout the year. This market features the largest variety of vendors, though smaller versions of the Santa Fe Farmers market are held on Tuesdays in the same location. In addition to vendors on Saturdays, you’ll also enjoy live music and other performances, adding to the festive atmosphere of the Santa Fe Farmers Market. The market is a great place to grab lunch, too!

In addition to the regular Santa Fe Farmers Market on Saturday, the area also hosts the Railyard Artisan Market on Sunday, which is a great place to shop for everything from clothing and tapestries to sculptures and paintings.
